Goethe’s Garden House in Weimar, Germany

View of Goethe's garden house

The former garden house (Gartenhaus) of Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is a museum now. Inside you can see original inventory like  his pedestal desk with seating support in the study and his folding bed in the sleeping area.

This Gartenhaus was Goethe’s main residence and workplace until he moved to his home at the Frauenplan in June 1782. So the famous poem of the ‘Erlkönig’ and the poem ‘To the Moon’ were written here.
