Frozen fountain at Residenz Würzburg, Germany

It was a cold day when I took this photo of a frozen fountain on the grounds of the Würzburg Residence (Würzburger Residenz). The Baroque palace saw its completion in 1744. Today, it is part of the UNESCO World Heritage List.

UNESCO World Heritage Site

The Würzburg Residence, including the Court Gardens and the Residence Square, has been inscribed as a World Heritage Site since 2010. UNESCO considers the Baroque palace a document of European culture created by the most significant architects, sculptors, and painters of the 18th century.
