This garden house, owned by Gottlieb Daimler, housed the workshop and testing station where Gottlieb Daimler and Wilhelm Maybach used to work on their latest inventions.

Korean architect Eun Young Yi planned the new Stadtbibliothek (municipal library) am Mailänder Platz in Stuttgart. It opened in 2011. I especially love the patterns the bookshelves form inside the library.

Built as a royal residence and rebuilt after wartime destruction, the Neue Schloss (New Castle) now offers government offices. Visitors can admire the Baroque architecture, the central dome, and rich facade details from outside, but should not expect access without further agreement.

The following was a big surprise on my urban walk through Stuttgart. I came across a fodder meadow (Fettwiese) inside the city. The hay from this meadow is for the animals of a nearby zoo named Wilhelma.
