At the Apartment Hotel Loigge in Rechnitz where I took a painting lesson, I came across this artwork made of a root. It could be a good explanation for why the leaning tower of Pisa is still standing today.

Project Schafsinn in Haus
A cute project in Haus, a place in the Austrian province Styria: Schafsinn. At a mountain next to Haus there is a theme path where people are told about the life of sheep. One can not only read the info boards along the path but also meet the sheep grazing up and down the hill.

Strange vehicles in Budapest
During my short walk around the railway station Keleti Pu I came across strange vehicles like this one at two different places. I wonder what the story of these vehicles is? Any ideas?
Traffic lights in Maribor
I was very impressed by these traffic lights which counted down the seconds I have to wait for green light. Later the same numbers told me how much time I’d have to cross the street. I haven’t seen this before but I love this idea.
Posttor (Olsator) in Friesach
On my walk through Friesach I discovered this clever idea to visualize the medieval gate called Posttor or Olsator in its shape of about 1200 AD. The sign was transparent so I was able to match past and presence.
Red box for finds in Vienna
Interesting! If one finds anything (not that valuable) in the streets of Vienna one doesn’t have to go to the lost property office. One can drop it in one of these red boxes I came across here. Are there such boxes in your area too?
