You only see what you know (Goethe)
Next to the Belvedere Gardens, there is another garden worth a visit: The botanical garden of the University of Vienna. It offers a variety of plants combined with informative descriptions. In the photo, you see Upper Belvedere Palace in the background.
At the planetary garden of Eggenberg Palace (Schloss Eggenberg) in Graz.
The first stop of my museum trip featuring the locations of the Universalmuseum Joanneum: On the grounds of Schloss Eggenberg (Eggenberg Palace).
Near one of the entrances to the Mirabell Gardens (Mirabellgarten), I saw this sculpture of a unicorn. But this was not the only lively statue in this park of Salzburg City. So I also came across a sunbathing lion.
After a walk through the Garten Tulln, I climbed up a tower (34,95 m) named Baumwipfelweg (tree top way). Though it was more a tower than a path, several protruding elements offered an exciting view of the surroundings.
The following was a big surprise on my urban walk through Stuttgart. I came across a fodder meadow (Fettwiese) inside the city. The hay from this meadow is for the animals of a nearby zoo named Wilhelma.
While walking through the Volksgarten, a public park in Vienna, I took this photo of the Museum of Natural History (Naturhistorisches Museum). By the way, the park is famous for its roses. So don’t miss a visit through their blooming period.
This pic displays the view from the Upper Belvedere Palace (Oberes Belvedere) down to the centre of Vienna. The designer of the Belvedere Gardens was French architect Dominique Girard, a pupil of landscape architect André Le Nôtre.
After arriving at the railway station Südbahnhof, I went down to the centre of Vienna through Belvedere Gardens. Only a snow-covered Sphinx sculpture watched my steps to the Lower Belvedere, which you see in the background.
