After leaving the Kunsthalle in Vienna, where I visited two exhibitions about fashion photography, I discovered at the Museumsquartier this cute painting of a shy fox hidden behind benches.

At the Kunsthalle of Vienna, I visited two interesting exhibitions about fashion photography. Whereas “No fashion please” gave me an idea about contemporary fashion photography, the exhibition “Vanity” showed me landmark photography from the late 1920s to the present.

This colourful house in my city is generally known as Gemaltes Haus (Painted House). Actually it was the seat of a duke until about 1450, so the official name is Herzogshof (Duke’s court). By the way the top down conifers were part of the Christmas decoration at that time.

A fine example of the coat of arms of my city Graz. I found it on the wall of the Styrian Armoury located in the town centre.

The old fairy tale grotto train of Graz closed with Jan 8th, and I was one of the last guests.

The former Austrian pavilion at Expo 58 in Brussels stands next to the Vienna central station (Wien Hauptbahnhof). In the beginning, it housed contemporary art of the 20th century. So it was nick-named 20er Haus. After remodelling from 2009 to 2011, it was renamed 21er Haus to reflect the new century.

While passing the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (Akademie der Bildenden Künste), I always love to look at the fine wall paintings. Inside the building, you find a collection of old masters worth a visit.

The rebuilt central station of Salzburg still uses some elements of the old railway station. For example, 100+-year-old tile paintings and lamps like the one shown above provide a vintage feeling in the entrance hall.

Today I tried the Premium Class on the Austrian railjet. I was so bold to start my train year with choosing the seat N° 13.

I took this photo of Wallersee Lake on a train journey from Linz to Salzburg.

On my way from the city centre to the railway station of Sopron I came across this sign which showed me the direction to the station. I was really surprised about the design of the locomotive. What do you think? Is this an official sign?
