After leaving the Kunsthalle in Vienna, where I visited two exhibitions about fashion photography, I discovered at the Museumsquartier this cute painting of a shy fox hidden behind benches.

At the Kunsthalle of Vienna, I visited two interesting exhibitions about fashion photography. Whereas “No fashion please” gave me an idea about contemporary fashion photography, the exhibition “Vanity” showed me landmark photography from the late 1920s to the present.

The former Austrian pavilion at Expo 58 in Brussels stands next to the Vienna central station (Wien Hauptbahnhof). In the beginning, it housed contemporary art of the 20th century. So it was nick-named 20er Haus. After remodelling from 2009 to 2011, it was renamed 21er Haus to reflect the new century.

While passing the Academy of Fine Arts in Vienna (Akademie der Bildenden Künste), I always love to look at the fine wall paintings. Inside the building, you find a collection of old masters worth a visit.

Now that I call an appetizing name for a train! This train connecting Vienna with Freilassing (Germany) is named ‘Gutes Essen im Zug’ (English: ‘Good meals on train’)

The 10th day of my InterRail journey started in Vienna. My destination on that day was Brno in Czechia. From my train, I had an excellent view of the construction site for the new Vienna Central Station (Wiener Hauptbahnhof).

The 9th day of my InterRail journey ended at the railway station Wiener Westbahnhof in Vienna. It was nearly midnight when I arrived. Only the statue of Elisabeth of Austria (‘Sisi’) bid me welcome. The sculpture reminds me that this railway station was one end of the Empress Elisabeth Railway.

While walking along the Kärntner Strasse in Vienna, I met this piano player. What was your most impressive moment with a busker?

Today I visited a reading in Vienna. Star of the event was the dog Pecorino. He and his master became famous for doing a pilgrimage in Italy. Pecorino is considered to be the first dog who owns a pilgrimage pass.
