Tucherschloss in Nuremberg, Germany

The Tucher Mansion (Tucherschloss) dates back to 1544. It served as a summer residence for the Tucher, a patrician family in Nuremberg. The museum inside shows how such a family lived in those times.

Tucher Mansion (Tucherschloss)

I was especially impressed by the old furniture still to see. Whereas the building looks a bit cold and forbidding, the interior offers the splendid lifestyle of a patrician family living in Nuremberg in the 16th century.

Hirsvogel Hall (Hirsvogelsaal)

Visitors should also visit the nearby Hirsvogel Hall. This site is a reconstruction of a Renaissance hall, which saw its completion in 1534. It belonged to the home of the Hirschvogel Family. Whereas the building is a reconstruction, the interior is still original.
