After staying a night at the former Zell Manor, I came across this castle on my morning walk. It is generally known as Rothschild Castle (Rothschildschloss) since it was rebuilt in Neo-Gothic style by Albert Salomon Anselm von Rothschild.
Lutemaking industry in Füssen
Füssen has been a centre of the lute- and violinmaking industry for many years. In 1562, the city saw the foundation of the first lute makers’ guild in Europe. Today, the Museum of Füssen displays an extensive collection of historical lutes and violins.
Monument to Sisi in Vienna
You find this depiction of Empress Elisabeth “Sisi” of Austria at the Volksgarten in the 1st district of Vienna. Friedrich Ohmann created the monument. The statue was a work by Hans Bitterlich.
Manhole cover in Naumburg
This manhole cover displays the cathedral of Naumburg (Saale). The German full name is Naumburger Dom St. Peter und St. Paul. The cathedral dates back to the 13th century and is part of the Romanesque Road (Straße der Romanik) in Saxony-Anhalt.

During the event waldviertelpur, I had the opportunity to look under the hood of this old gentleman. This Steyr 480 saw its construction by the Austrian company Steyr in 1966. Today, the truck operates for the Zwettl brewery, based in the region of Waldviertel. [German]

Visitors of Erfurt find this romantic lane named Kirchgasse next to Augustine’s Monastery (Augustinerkloster). Martin Luther stayed as a monk in this monastery from 1505–1511.
