Hotel Gemma is a small hotel located at Kleinwalsertal Valley with a fine view from the lounge to the lower part of the valley. Besides that, it is situated next to a ski lift so one can start the winter day by skiing down to the lift station and finishing the ski activities just by skiing back to the hotel entrance.
In May 2013 I got an invitation to stay at Leading Family Hotel & Resort Alpenrose in Lermoos. That was an interesting invitation because I generally travel alone. I was curious to learn what this 4 stars superior hotel had to offer for families though.
Hotel Wiesler is located next to the centre of Graz. After a walk of a few minutes, one reaches the Museum of Contemporary Art (Kunsthaus) or the central market square. From many rooms, guests have a fine view of the landmark of Graz, a clock tower named Uhrturm.

Actually I had an excellent view of Geras abbey from my room at the former granary. The hotel is also linked with Geras Abbey by offering a lot of workshops in the rooms of the abbey.
The family hotel Egger (Familienhotel Egger) is situated at the edge of Hinterglemm. The hotel is well prepared to deal with a lot of children. Besides the pools, there are even several rooms dedicated to children only.
The hotel stands near the centre of Saalbach. The owner is not only a good chef but also a good art teacher. The hotel offers packages for people interested in improving their skills in painting. The classes take place in a dedicated atelier next to the hotel.
Villa Excelsior has already hosted famous guests. For example, Sigmund Freud spent several summer holidays here. My tour guide told me it was here where the Austrian neurologist was thinking about the concept of Eros and Thanatos.
The hotel is situated next to a biking route at the northern beginning of the Gastein Valley. The place is fine as starting point for biking, hiking, skiing and collecting mushrooms. Actually I had a delicious mushroom dish while staying at the hotel.
At my hotel in Dorfgastein I had a fun bedside lamp. One can turn on and off the light just by touching anywhere at the metal. Any ideas how this works?
The conference hotel SPES (Seminarhotel SPES) stands on a plateau overlooking the Upper Kremstal Valley (Oberes Kremstal). It is near the centre of Schlierbach but also next to a forest. It offers rooms in a modern building, opened in 2009, and in an eco-holiday resort at the foot of the plateau.
The hotel is situated at a street between Zell am See and Kaprun. The train station of the Pinzgau Railway is near the hotel so one can have a ride to the Krimml Wasserfälle on the spot. The hotel offers a spa area in the basement of a second building opposite the street.
The hotel is situated in Kaprun not far away from the car museum Vötter. The origins of the building date back to the 15th century so it is known as the oldest inn of Kaprun. The rooms are in rural style.
