According to a legend Domitian of Caratania throw 1.000 pagan sculptures into Millstatt Lake. I guess people of Millstatt would love to get them back. Especially along the lake there are a lot of modern sculptures often created by artists who stayed in Millstatt for a while.

At the Forum Kunst contemporary in the former Millstatt Abbey, I came across an exhibition of works created by Deborah Sengl. In these works, she shows the plot of the theatre play ‘The Last Days of Mankind’ (Die letzten Tage der Menschheit) written by Karl Kraus using the bodies of rats instead of figurines of humans.
At the Alexanderhütte, a hut high over Millstatt Lake (Millstättersee), I had this fabulous cheese platter with a glass of elderberries sirup. All the cheese was made by an alpine dairy attached to the hut.
Each room of Hotel Mitra is decorated with a different painting. The subject of the painting depicted above refers to the Roman history of Ptuj, which was named Poetovio in ancient times.

The Puh Bridge (Puhov Most) is named after Janez Puh, an inventor and mechanic who became famous for founding the Austrian Puch automobile plants. The bridge was created by Peter Gabrijelčič аnd Viktor Markelj and opened in 2007. It is an extradosed bridge which spans the Drava River in a bow.
The spa area of Grand Hotel Primus in Ptuj offers a couple of treatment rooms designed in different periods of history. For example, you find this pool in ancient Roman luxury style.
While visiting the Firbas Homestead in the Slovenian region of Štajerska, I came across a Pannonia bike built by the Hungarian company Csepel in 1967. The homestead offers a lot of adventures for children who have never seen a cow or horse.
At the Kocbek oil mill I had the chance to taste products of pumpkin seeds produced by Gorazd Kocbek and his team. I was especially impressed by the roulades depicted above. Kocbek used pumpkin seeds instead of flour for creating these tasty pieces of dessert.
The Prekmurian layer cake (prekmurska gibanica) is a traditional dish in the Slovene region of Prekmurje. It contains poppy seeds, quark, walnuts and apples.
An old cash register seen at the ham manufacture Kodila in Murska Sobota, a city in the Slovenia region of Prekmurje. Blagajna is the Slovenian word for cash register or till.
