The monument to the Austrian writer Franz Grillparzer (1791-1872) was built in 1889 and displays scenes from his works. It is located in a public park of Vienna named Volksgarten, which is worth a visit, especially during the heyday of roses. [German]
The building N° 38, situated on the Linke Wienzeile (6. District), was designed by Otto Wagner. Koloman Moser created the golden ornaments. You find this facade next to the Naschmarkt, one of the most popular markets in Vienna. [German]
There is a splash of colour in the grey streets of the 3rd district of Vienna: the Kunsthaus Wien. The former furniture factory for Thonet chairs now houses a museum for Friedensreich Hundertwasser and shows photo exhibitions that attract attention.

The Schützenhaus was built in 1904 – 1908 according to plans by Otto Wagner. The building was part of a planned weir. Schützenhaus refers to the control gates (Schütze) used in such weirs. Today, the building houses a restaurant called “Otto Wagner Schützenhaus”. [German]
This memorial in Vienna commemorates the journalist and esoteric Rudolf Joseph Lorenz Steiner. Rudolf Steiner (1861-1925) is considered the founder of anthroposophy. The monument stands in the Swiss Garden (Schweizergarten) and saw its construction in 1981. [German]
When I first visited the museum, it was known as the Museum für Völkerkunde (Museum of Ethnology). Today it is called Weltmuseum Wien (World Museum Vienna). The exhibits are the same. But the information is one facet richer: As a visitor, I learn a lot more about the circumstances under which the cultural objects came into the museum.

Every year in December, a medieval Christmas market takes place in front of the Museum of Military History (Heeresgeschichtlichs Museum) in Vienna. The market, which is generally named after the whole area (Arsenal), lasts only for a weekend. So, you should look for the exact date beforehand.
